Are you born again?

Before we get to the menu please will you allow me just one minute to ask you this question, this may seem silly or even offensive as of course you know Christ after all you wouldn’t be on this page if you didn’t, but there is a reason I’m asking this question,

  I hand out tracts, maybe you have had one given by me, and as I’m handing out tracts I ask people the question are you born again?  Jesus Christ talks to Nicodemus in John 3 v3 where Jesus says“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

• When  i hand out my tracts and I ask this question some of the answers i have been given is I’m Catholic, it means different things to different people, I have been a church warden for 40 years, none of these answers sadly mean that you are born again, Jesus when speaking to nicodemus is speaking about a spiritual birth, being made new in Christ, as Paul puts it a new creation in Christ no longer walking in the darkness but walking in the light.

• So I ask this question in love, ARE YOU BORN AGAIN ?  please wrestle with this question because if you truly are born again and know Jesus as your saviour you will truly be in the Kingdom of God (Heaven) and with this wrestle gives you a blessed assurance that you will indeed be in heaven with your saviour, but if you don’t know Christ and are rejecting God, the bible speaks of a literal Hell that all people who do not want to know Christ will go, please don’t let this be you.

A Born Again Testimony

I was brought up in a Christian home, As a  Christian I got confirmed and got married, went to church all my life, and I knew God, but in my thirties a friend said I wasn't a Christian, because I wasn't born again, and it turned out to be true.

So after a few years I gave my life to God through Jesus Christ, I searched for God after this lady told me this that I wasn't born again, and it is in the Bible, John 3 v 3 if you read John's gospel it's very clear that we have to be born again of the water and the spirit

We just need to do this with all our hearts offer ourselves to God and repent of all our sins. It's not enough just to go along to church and do all the things that we do on Sunday and attend Sunday school and everything else.

I did all that and read God's words out in church that is not enough.

We have to know in our hearts that we've totally surrendered to him, and he brings us peace that passes all understanding and he is our peace because he's the one that saves us, we can't save ourselves.

We can't follow any other traditions or whatever in the church. It's only by faith, by grace and by faith we are saved.

It's what God's done for us and what Jesus did on the cross and once I got baptised, that showed what had happened in my heart it showed the people round about what had gone on in my heart.

So we need to come to Jesus and be baptised to show what has happened in our hearts  but we also need regular fellowship with other believers and go to be among people who know the lord.

So that we can be accountable to them and we can share our our problems with them and they will pray for us.
